LIONS JUNIOR PUBLIC SPEAKING

The District final was selected to represent the district at the state finals for grades 3/4. Olivia was the runner up. Urijah Gilboy gave an excellent presentation.

We held the club level competition for this great event on Tuesday 23rd July with 5 wonderful contestants. All 5 contestants gave a great presentation and the judges had lots of difficulty in picking the children who will represent our club at the district level.

Olivia Talarico and Mia Longbottom will be representing Tatura at the grades 3/4 level - Olivia was State wide runner up last year.

Urijah Gilboy will be representing us at grades levels 5/6.

Congratulations to Sacred Heart School for promoting the event and giving us such great participants.

Lions Club of Tatura

The Lions Club of Tatura is a country club within the City of Greater Shepparton.

The Lions Club of Tatura was formed in 1971. We have 21-24 members, male and female, drawn from the local community. We are all volunteers. We serve our community and have fun and fellowship with each other.

We meet at the Senior Citizens rooms in Mactier Gardens on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month except January, from 6:00pm (for 6:30pm) with a meal together.

As well as having fun together we are committed to:

  1. Serving the Tatura Community.

  2. Raising funds to invest in local projects and projects that could in the future affect the local community.

  3. providing activities and events for the local community

  4. supporting other community groups
