About Lions

​

Lions Clubs have been in existence for more than 100 years with clubs in almost every country in the world. With more than 1.4 million members across the world, Lions have a major influence on the lives of people.

​

Lions have 5 major and amazing causes which we support worldwide; diabetes, vision, hunger, environment and childhood cancer. 

​

Since our inception, the Lions Clubs’ motto “We Serve” has been the lifeblood of our commitment to supporting the community. With the combined talents of our volunteers who commit their time,
money and skills, we transform the lives of others across the globe.

We also support other great humanitarian, disaster relief, and youth  programs through our international foundation, Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) and the Australian Lions Foundation.

Local Lions Clubs are active in their community, often seen running events to raise money that is then invested back into their community, into the major causes we work on world wide, or into national and state projects that will impact on the local community.

In Victoria, we also deliver projects for our youth (junior public speaking, youth exchange, youth of the year, reading action), crime watch, hearing dogs, Eye health, bionic ear research to name a few. We strongly support Child hood cancer research, and Eye health for all but with a focus on children.
